FICGN, in partnership with Narrative Initiative, presents the Fair Chance Framework, created through our first ever landscape research project on the narrative impact of humanizing language when speaking about formerly incarcerated people.
The research grew out of FICGN’s push to shift the name of Second Chance Month, recognized every April, to Fair Chance Month, highlighting the fact that chances are not finite.
In the landscape report, we developed a framework focused on dignity and humanity, deservingness, interdependence, and freedom for all people.
