Narrative Organizing
We help organizations and coalitions build a Narrative North Star, a shared vision that aligns people, connects efforts, and points toward the future they want to create together. Grounded in shared values, a Narrative North Star helps groups move in the same direction while speaking in their own voices. We also offer power mapping and capacity assessments to help teams build alignment, strengthen collaboration, and turn vision into action.
Narrative Research
We collaborate with organizations and coalitions to help them understand the broader narrative landscape affecting their capacity to enact long-lasting change.
Past Programs
Changemaker Authors Cohort
From 2022-2025, Narrative Initiative partnered with Unicorn Authors Club to offer a coaching program to full-time social justice leaders embarking on their first books. In 2026, the final cohort focused on long-form nonfiction. Alumni include: Silky Shah, (Unbuild Walls), Beth Howard (Song for a Hard-Hit People), and Tiffany Yu (Anti-Ableist Manifesto).
Word Force
Word Force provided ghostwriting services and robust communication strategy with a narrative lens to grassroots social justice organizations. We collaborate with Changemaker organizations to help them harness their narrative power and integrate it into all aspects of their work.
