We collaborate with organizations and coalitions to help them understand the broader narrative landscape affecting their capacity to enact long-lasting change.
Changemaker Authors Cohort
The Changemaker Authors Cohort is a coaching program full-time movement activists and social justice practitioners to complete books or long-form essays that advance better narratives. Since 2022, Narrative Initiative has partnered with the Unicorn Authors Club to offer this unique opportunity to changemakers.
In 2026, our cohort will be invitation only with a focus on long-form nonfiction.
Action and Organizing
We empower organizations and coalitions to surface deeply-held values and beliefs and create a vision statement–a Narrative North Star–which anchors their work and guides their narrative strategy across programs, communications, and action. Our work can also include power-mapping and capacity assessments.
Word Force
Word Force, a project of Narrative Initiative, provides ghostwriting services and robust communication strategy with a narrative lens to grassroots social justice organizations. We collaborate with Changemaker organizations to help them harness their narrative power and integrate it into all aspects of their work.
